Deportation of 29 people who violated the Iraqi residency law

The Civil Status, Passports and Residence Department announced today, Wednesday, the deportation of 29 people who violated the Iraqi residency law.

The Civil Status Department said in a statement, “In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior and under the supervision of the Director General, Jurist Major General Nashat Ibrahim Al-Khafaji, the staff of the Residency Affairs Directorate deported 29 violators of the Iraqi residency law, through Baghdad International Airport.”

It added, "This came after great efforts by the directorate's staff to track and prosecute everyone who violates the residency regulations," calling on citizens to "provide information and report any case of violation of residency requirements and not being accommodated in the service of the country's security."
