Doha, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah received Tuesday a phone call from HE UK Secretary of State for Defense Grant Shapps.

At the outset of the call, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs congratulated the UK Secretary of State for Defense on assuming his position, wishing him success in performing his duties and in contributing to deepening and bolstering relations between the two friendly countries.

They also discussed the latest international and regional developments in the region, especially the situation in Gaza. HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs stressed the need to work together to calm the situation in the Gaza Strip and allow the entry of humanitarian aid.
