The Digital Incubation Center (DIC) affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) launched yesterday the 5th edition of “Make the Deal” for startups and investors. The program connects promising digital startups with local, regional, and international investment firms and investors to support digital entrepreneurship in Qatar.

Since the start of registration in mid-November 2022 for a period of 15 days, the number of applications exceeded 180 applications from Tech startups from over 22 countries, in addition to the attendance confirmation of more than 40 investors to participate in launching the 5th edition event.

The DIC team screened applications and accepted 50 regional and local startups after the registration period ended. Those startups have been enrolled in a specialized investment readiness program with high-caliber mentors, to increase their chances of securing investors’ interest during the programs matchmaking and pitching activities. The final top 10 pitches will be made in the presence of investors at the “Make the Deal” event.

The "Make the Deal" is a platform that promotes financial growth among growing businesses. The program introduces investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups that harness emerging technologies to serve Qatar's digital economy, enabling them to expand the scope of their businesses.
