The organizers of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ announced that Doha Corniche area and a number of surrounding roads will be designated for pedestrians starting tomorrow, Tuesday until December 19, in preparation for hosting a variety of recreational activities for fans of the tournament, which competitions start next month.
This step is part of the tournament's hosting plans to manage and organize transportation during the upcoming event, to ensure a smooth experience for fans from all over the world to attend the World Cup, which is being held for the first time in the Arab world.
During the period of Corniche area's closure for vehicles, the public will be able to reach the central Doha using public transportation, including Doha Metro and buses. Sites have been designated for picking up and dropping off taxi passengers, as well as smart application cars, in addition to parking spaces for Persons with Disabilities.
