Doha Forum: A Platform for Youth Empowerment and Global Dialogue.

Doha: The "Doha Forum: Youth Edition" successfully held its third edition in November 2023 and is set to launch its fourth edition on December 5, in collaboration with the QatarDebate Center. This edition aligns with the main theme of the Doha Forum, focusing on five key areas, including geopolitics, emerging technologies, security, and cultural diplomacy. The new edition aims to provide a space for young people to present new visions and drive positive change. According to Qatar News Agency, the Doha Forum was compelled to hold its 2020 and 2021 editions virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. These virtual sessions included senior policymakers, experts, and researchers who discussed pressing global issues. Following the pandemic, the Forum resumed in-person gatherings with its 20th edition in March 2022, under the theme "Transforming for a New Era," addressing various geopolitical changes. In December 2023, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated the 21st Doha Forum under the theme "Buildi ng Shared Futures," attended by over 4,000 participants, including more than 270 speakers from 120 countries. The event featured more than 80 sessions over two days. HH the Amir also awarded the Doha Forum Award to Philippe Lazzarini, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Commissioner-General of UNRWA. The 21st edition of the Doha Forum focused on four main themes: international relations and security, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, economic development, and sustainability. The event included 18 main sessions and 35 side sessions. The Forum is regarded as a significant event in contemporary international affairs, collaborating with various local, regional, and international bodies to discuss pressing issues and challenges. Over the past two decades, the Doha Forum has established itself as an interactive global dialogue platform, facilitating discussions on development, security, and stability. The Forum has gathered experiences from global experts and activists, creating roadmap s to address global crises and challenges. Qatar's hosting of the forum underscores its leadership's commitment to engaging the world in addressing crucial issues. The Forum promotes regional and international cooperation, diagnosing current situations, and proposing solutions to global challenges, including combating extremism, enhancing women's roles, ensuring fair distribution of wealth, and protecting human rights. The Doha Forum complements Qatar's foreign policy, which emphasizes dialogue in resolving conflicts and crises. The Forum's outcomes have contributed to preparing diplomatic work programs and finding solutions to contemporary problems, emphasizing the importance of stability, security, and the right of all to exist for a harmonious future.
