Thirteen people have been injured after a Ukrainian missile intercepted by Russian defense systems fell onto a residential building in the Kursk region, the Russian authorities announced on Sunday. Thirteen people have been injured so far in the attack by Ukrainians, two of them in serious condition, and several ambulance teams are working at the scene, Acting Governor of Russia's Kursk region Alexei Smirnov said on his Telegram channel. Meanwhile, the regional headquarters of the Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the building's structural integrity remains intact, adding that emergency services have rescued 15 people. The headquarters said that firefighters from the Russian Emergencies Ministry are working to mitigate the consequences of the incident in Kursk, where windows of a nine-storey residential building were shattered and balconies were damaged. He pointed out that 15 people were rescued and 30 others were evacuated, while more than 40 individuals and 10 vehicles are working at the site. Since Tuesday, the Russian Kursk region bordering Ukraine has witnessed a major incursion by the Ukrainian army, involving more than a thousand soldiers and dozens of armored military vehicles, according to the Russian General Staff, which said it is doing everything in its power to repel it.
