Dubai, Dubai Future Labs (DFL), a unit of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), is participating in the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) for the third consecutive year. Taking place until October 18 in Abu Dhabi, this conference is notable for being the first held in the region. DFL is showcasing its latest innovations, including a range of logistics robots developed by its research team. The unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) showcased include DFL's outdoor autonomous delivery robot, built for efficient last-mile logistics with strong mobility on sidewalks; a robot designed to automate complex tasks in warehouses using AI-driven manipulation; and a robot intended for search and rescue operations. DFL will also host a workshop aimed at discussing adaptable mobile manipulation solutions for robot deployment in various environments, tackling the challenges of adapting to new conditions in robotics, Emirates news Agency (WAM) reported. Khalifa Al Qama, Director of Dubai Future Labs , noted that IROS is a vital platform for building international partnerships in robotics and allows DFL to showcase its innovative projects that draw global talent. He hopes that their involvement will provide international delegates with insight into Dubai's goals in the RandD sector. DFL made its debut at IROS in 2022 in Kyoto, Japan, and returned in 2023 in Detroit, USA. Source: Bahrain News Agency
