An earthquake measuring four on the Richter scale struck on Sunday the Bushehr province in southern Iran.

There have been no reports of material or human losses as a result of the earthquake so far.
Iran is highly prone to earthquakes due to its location in an active seismic zone, the most violent of which was a 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck northwest of the country in 1990, killing 37,000 and wounding 100,000.
