Doha: Egypt has condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territories, considering them a dangerous escalation and an egregious violation of Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Wednesday, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that this move constitutes an entrenchment of the imposition of a fait accompli policy and demonstrates Israel’s determination to foment conflagration in the region.

In addition, Egypt called on active international parties and the United Nations Security Council to uphold their responsibilities in condemning these repeated Israeli violations, putting an end to Israel’s irresponsible policies, and compelling Israel to end its occupation of Syrian territories and abide by the international rules-based order.
