Egyptian and Palestinian Foreign Ministers Discuss Ceasefire Efforts in Gaza

Doha: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelaaty discussed with his Palestinian counterpart, Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, the tireless efforts being made by his country, in partnership with the State of Qatar and the United States, to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement today that during the call, the Minister condemned the repeated attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, stressing his country’s complete rejection of the brutal Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

He also condemned the policy of starvation and collective punishment pursued by Israel in Gaza, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

During the call, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated his country’s rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land and its unwavering support for the brotherly Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
