Egyptian, Somali Presidents Discuss Regional Developments, Sign Declaration to Upgrade Relations

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud convened in Cairo to discuss regional issues and developments, culminating in the signing of a joint political declaration aimed at elevating their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership.

According to Qatar News Agency, President El-Sisi announced at a press conference following the signing that the declaration would enhance cooperation across multiple domains, including political, military, cultural, and economic spheres. The dialogue between the two leaders also addressed regional security and political dynamics, particularly in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. Both presidents emphasized the importance of bolstering efforts to ensure peace and security in these regions, which hold significant implications for global stability.
