Doha: A group of civil defense personnel were injured in a drone attack launched by Ukrainian forces in the eastern Donetsk region.
According to Qatar News Agency, Moscow’s Civil Defense Authority reported that eight of its members sustained injuries while en route to extinguish a fire near the city of Horlivka when they came under attack by Ukrainian combat drones.
Despite their injuries, the personnel managed to take shelter inside their emergency vehicle. Ukraine has not yet commented on the report.
Both Russia and Ukraine have increasingly relied on drones in recent months to strike frontline positions and strategic targets amid their ongoing war, which began in February 2022.
