Doha: The Engineers Without Borders - Qatar program and the Qatar Scientific Club convened for a coordination meeting to explore collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing engineering and technical services for the Qatari community.
According to Qatar News Agency, Eng. Khalid AbdulRahim Al Sayed, Director of the Engineers Without Borders program and Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) Board Member, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the recent initiatives launched by the Engineers Without Borders - Qatar program. He emphasized the program's focus on leveraging the professional expertise of engineers in Qatar to support sustainable development and provide practical, innovative solutions that serve the public interest. A key initiative highlighted was the Engineer Clinic, which aims to assist those preparing to build by offering a consulting platform for citizens during the planning and construction phases, ensuring the implementation of residential and private projects adheres to precise engineering principles and standards.
Eng. Khalid AbdulRahim Al Sayed stressed the importance of engaging Qatari engineers and resident volunteers in the program to freely share their engineering and scientific expertise with citizens. This initiative intends to activate the role of these professionals in serving the community effectively.
Fatima Al Mohannadi, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Qatar Scientific Club, stated that the meeting aligns with the club's commitment to fostering cooperation with national institutions dedicated to science and engineering. The goal is to spread scientific and engineering culture across various societal segments. She highlighted the club's focus on initiatives targeting youth, providing them with opportunities for innovation, learning, and practical application. Al Mohannadi underscored that collaboration with the Engineers Without Borders - Qatar program would enhance experience exchange and support the implementation of joint programs and activities that align with Qatar's goals for human and technological development.
The meeting also included discussions on future cooperation and coordination, with both parties agreeing to develop joint programs encompassing areas of mutual interest.
