The 8th issue of the Official Gazette (August 2022) included Cabinet Resolution No. (8) to amend some provisions of Resolution No. (73) for the year 2014 to establish the permanent committee to monitor fuel filling and storage stations.

Article (1) of the resolution stipulates that “a committee called the Permanent Committee for Monitoring Fuel Filling and Storage Stations shall be established in Qatar Energy. It shall be chaired by a representative of Qatar Energy and a representative of the Ministry of Interior (the General Directorate of Civil Defense) as Vice President, and the membership of representatives from the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, KAHRAMAA, Qatar Rail and WOQOD, and a representative of the owners of private gas stations nominated by the President of Qatar Chamber.

Article (3) of the decision stipulates that it shall be implemented from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, meaning that it has come into effect.
