“Fat mistake” at the opening of the Paris Olympics

Paris - Ma'an - The dazzling opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris on Friday witnessed a major mistake, when the flag of the famous global event appeared upside down. In a video clip circulating on social media platforms, the guards raised the colorful Olympic flag upside down, in Trocadero Square near the Eiffel Tower. The Olympic flag consists of 5 rings, 3 rings at the top (blue, black and red), and 2 rings at the bottom (yellow and green). The reason for this error is not yet clear, and the organizers have not commented on the incident. French President Emmanuel Macron declared the 33rd Summer Olympic Games open in Paris on Friday, during a grand opening ceremony on the River Seine. While the event attracted some 300,000 spectators who lined the riverside to celebrate French culture, fashion and history with rapturous enthusiasm, hundreds of people were seen leaving early as heavy rain fell.
