Federal Police arrest two people accused of terrorism and drug trafficking in Baghdad

Baghdad, Federal Police forces arrested two people accused of terrorism and drug trafficking in Baghdad. The command of the Federal Police stated in a statement: 'The detachments of the Fifth Division of the Federal Police carried out two separate operations, with the support of the intelligence and the security services working within the sectors of responsibility, during which they were able to overthrow a drug trafficker red-handed, as he was selling narcotic marijuana in Al-Shaab area, and (16) bags of the narcotic substance were seized from his possession, in addition to two electronic scales. The same squad detachments also arrested a suspect wanted according to Article 1/4 of terrorism in Rashidiya area'. The command added: 'The defendants were referred, along with the seized materials, to the competent authorities to complete the investigative and legal procedures against them.'
