Finance Minister meets Moroccan counterpart

Rabat, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met here today, in the presence of Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, and Khalid bin Salman bin Jabr Al Musallam, Bahraini Ambassador to Morocco, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance, on the sidelines of his participation in the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), currently held in Marrakech.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa requested the Moroccan minister to convey the greeting and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, wishing Morocco more progress and prosperity, under its leadership.

The Finance and National Economy Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Morocco for hosting the annual meetings of the WBG and IMF. He also reviewed the solid fraternal Bahraini-Moroccan relations.

The two ministers discussed ways to bolster bilateral financial and economic cooperation between the two kingdoms to achieve common aspirations.

They also reviewed the outcomes of the 2023 annual meetings of the WBG and IMF, and discussed the latest developments in the global economy.
