Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed with the Dutch Foreign Minister, Casper Veldkamp, the challenges facing international peace and security, especially in the Middle East.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Hussein met today, Wednesday, with the Dutch Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, according to the statement, relations between Iraq and the Netherlands were discussed, especially those related to cooperation within the framework of the United Nations. The two sides also touched on the challenges facing international peace and security, especially in the Middle East, including the recent escalation in Lebanon and the continued aggression on Gaza.
In another context, the future of dealing with perpetrators of terrorist crimes in Iraq was discussed, stressing the need to ensure handing them over to justice.

ant challenges facing societies after the elimination of ISIS, especially with regard to the children of fighters, in addition to cooperation in the issue of kidnapped women and taking the necessary measures to return them, and providing assistance in rehabilitation and psychological support.
