Jerusalem - Ma'an - The occupation forces carried out a large-scale demolition operation in the town of At-Tur, east of the Old City of Jerusalem, on Wednesday, to continue work on paving the "American Street" to connect the settlements. The occupation forces, accompanied by vehicles, stormed the town of At-Tur, and after a complete siege of the area, they began a large-scale demolition operation in the area. The residents explained that the bulldozers carried out the demolition of a house, commercial facilities (nurseries and a laundry), agricultural and animal facilities, in addition to leveling lands and demolishing fences and cars, and they belonged to the families of Nasser, Awda, Abu Sbitan, Al-Kaswani, Al-Saeedi, and Darbas. Today's demolition is to complete the construction of the "northern part of American Street" and a tunnel in the area. The 'American Street' project extends over a distance of 12 kilometers, from the Mazmuria checkpoint southeast of Jerusalem until it reaches the north of the A t-Tur area.
