Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Foreign Minister, participated in the Sixth Joint Ministerial Meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Republic of Trkiye. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries, and Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, the Secretary-General of the GCC. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, co-chaired the GCC side while the Turkish side was co-chaired by Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye. The meeting between the GCC and Trkiye discussed strengthening historical relations, cooperation in various domains, and the means to further develop their collaborations to enhance their regional role and their efforts to achieve growth and prosperity. The meeting approved the extension of the joint work plan between the two sides for the period 2025-2029. The two sides discussed regional and internat ional developments, including the Gaza Strip war, regional efforts to protect civilians and deliver aid, and advancing the Middle East to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.
