Manama, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Ayman Al Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan. The minister is currently in the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the 33rd Arab Summit and the Preparatory Ministerial Meetings of Arab Foreign Ministers. The meeting discussed the historical Bahrain-Jordan relations and ways to strengthen cooperation in various domains. They reviewed the war developments in the Gaza Strip and regional and international efforts aimed at stopping it. The two sides emphasised the significance of ceasing military operations in the city of Rafah, warning against the ongoing Israeli occupation of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and its impact on restricting humanitarian aid access to the Strip. They stressed the importance of the two-state solution in ending the occupation and fulfil the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1 967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, to achieve security and stability in the region.
