Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Philémon Yang, President of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Dr. Al Zayani congratulated Mr. Yang on assuming the presidency of the General Assembly and wished him success in managing its work to achieve the United Nations' goals of promoting sustainable development and strengthening global security, stability, and prosperity. The meeting covered topics on the UNGA agenda, with discussions on addressing global challenges. The meeting was attended by Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Rowaiei, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and Ambassador Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Director General for International Cooperation.
