Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Yemen, held today in Qatar. The meeting was co-chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council; and Dr. Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen. It was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries, and Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC. The meeting addressed areas of mutual cooperation between the GCC countries and Yemen, focusing on enhancing political, economic, security, and social collaboration. It also reviewed the joint committee's findings on Yemen's development needs and reaffirmed support for the country's development and stability, for the benefit of the Yemeni people. The meeting also discussed regional and international efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis, thereby fulfilling the Yemeni people's aspirations for security, peace, and development, while maintaining regional security and stability.
