Damascus, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry honored a number of former ambassadors in appreciation of their efforts in representing the homeland and defending its causes throughout their careers. Foreign and Expatriates Minister in the caretaker government Fayssal Mikdad , stressed in a speech during a cultural evening held by the Diplomatic Institute on Tuesday in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture at al-Azem Palace in Damascus, that the honor is an appreciation and gratitude for the high-level national efforts of the former ambassadors and for their representation of the homeland and their defense of its issues with pride and dignity during their long and rich diplomatic career. Mikdad said that today we are hosting the Syrian ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions to review our work and make a kind of comprehensive understanding of the Syrian diplomatic process, stressing that it is a work deserves trouble and effort despite the circumstances experienced by Syria.
