The General Authority of Customs (GAC) obtained the "ISO 27001:2013" certificate specialized in information governance and security for all joint government services, within the framework of developing government work, and keenness to continue adopting and applying the best international standards in terms of information security. GAC is ISO/IEC 27001:201 certified by "BQC" Co. for its compliance with all requirements of ISO standards.
The international standard "ISO 27001: 2013" is one of the best standards that verify the good performance and efficiency of the work of technical procedures and information security and in the provision of electronic services. It also focuses on evaluating how to protect and security information in cases of storage, handling, processing and reading.
Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Maadeed, Assistant Chairman of the Authority for Support Services, indicated that the Authority’s achievement of this certificate is the result of a great effort during the past period, and is considered an effective step in terms of applying the latest international standards in the field of information security management, and an indication of GAC appreciation for protecting Data related to employees and those dealing with it, and enhances the efficiency of their productivity in light of their presence in a developed work environment according to the latest systems.
