Ramallah - Ma'an - The Ministry of Health said that about 160,000 children received the first dose of the polio vaccine in the central governorate of the Gaza Strip during the past two days, Sunday and Monday. The Ministry of Health stated in a press statement today, Tuesday, that its teams are working in cooperation with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to vaccinate children in fixed and mobile centers affiliated with the Ministry and UNRWA, amidst a great turnout from the families. She pointed out that vaccination will continue in the Central Governorate until tomorrow evening, Wednesday, and will begin on Thursday morning, 9/5, in Khan Yunis Governorate and neighboring areas for a period of 4 days, and in Gaza and the North Governorate on Monday morning, 9/9, for four days.
