The General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) has expressed deep concern over the situation developments in the Republic of The Sudan.
In a statement issued Saturday, the GCC General Secretariat called on "all parties to calm , exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue and wisdom, in a way that contributes to completing the consensus achieved under the framework agreement aimed at reaching a political declaration to realize political stability, economic recovery, and prosperity for Sudan and its people.
Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi affirmed the GCC firm stances and resolutions on preserving Sudan's security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The GCC also backs Sudan in the face of economic challenges to achieve aspirations of its people, Al-Budaiwi stressed.
He noted all the efforts that seek reaching consensus among political powers, end the crisis, and achieve security and stability in Sudan.
The GCC chief appealed to the disputing parties to hold dialogue and use peaceful methods to address disputes, enhance security and stability, and achieve aspirations of Sudan's people. (QNA)
