A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab Planning Institute (API), with the aim of establishing a broad framework for cooperation in areas of shared interest
The MoU was signed during a meeting between Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, GCC Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Dr. Bader Malallah, API Director General.
The secretary general said that the signing of the (MoU) with the API would contribute to the development and support of the local working force in the GCC countries, through cooperation in the areas of capacity building and training..
Albudaiwi praised API’s great role in supporting Arab organisations and institutions in all their forms, by presenting them with projects, studies and ideas that contribute to the development of national capacities, making a positive impact on the peoples of the region.
He said that joint meetings, dialogues and working groups will be held through the MoU, in addition to implementing training programmes. He added that it also allows for mutual understanding and cooperation with the institute, and seeks to develop the capabilities of the youth in GCC countries.
