London: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and the United Kingdom’s (UK) Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer discussed ways to enhance and develop the GCC-UK Strategic Partnership, during the former’s visit to the UK, Monday. Both parties focused on strengthening bilateral relations and collaborating on mutual interests in various sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also covered the latest regional and global developments, with particular attention to the situation in the Gaza Strip. The Secretary General and the UK Minister exchanged views on the ongoing challenges and agreed on the need to support all regional and international efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire. This, they believe, is essential for enhancing security and stability in the Gaza Strip and the broader Palestinian territories.
