Berlin: German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius pledged today to provide more military aid to Ukraine. Pistorius stated that the additional aid package will include artillery ammunition and communication devices, though he did not provide further specifics regarding the new weapons involved.
According to Qatar News Agency, Pistorius emphasized that Germany’s aid to Ukraine is both “continuous and credible.” He highlighted that Germany delivers “the weapons it commits to and when the financial resources are available.” The minister also mentioned that Germany is coordinating closely with European partners to provide essential weapons “precisely” and to make up for the shortfall caused by the freezing of US military aid to Ukraine.
Pistorius affirmed that Germany, along with its European allies, remains committed to supporting Ukraine robustly. This support is deemed crucial to ensuring that the Kyiv government maintains a strong negotiating position during these challenging times.
