The Head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, during his participation in the funeral of the Iranian President at Tehran University on Wednesday, expressed his reassurance that Iran is continuing with its policy of supporting Palestine and the resistance. He added: "The late President assured us that Iran will continue to support the Palestinian resistance until the aspirations of the people and the nation are achieved, and we are reassured that in the presence of the leaders of the resistance axis, the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue with its policy and principles under the auspices of its leader in supporting Pal estine and the resistance." Haniyeh continued, saying: 'From here we affirm that Gaza will continue its resistance until the liberation of all of the land, with Blessed Al-Quds in its heart.'
