Head Turkish Religious Affairs Ali Erbas called for unity of the Islamic world to stop the Israeli massacres against Palestinian children and innocents in the Gaza Strip. Erbas's call came during a speech he delivered at the launch of the 9th Conference of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the city of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he pointed out that Israel is committing genocide and great injustices in Palestine, hoping to God to establish security and safety in the entire world, especially for the Palestinian people. He added: "I pray to God that all Muslims unite their forces to stop the occupying Zionists from slaughtering Palestinian children and innocents in Gaza, and that we strive to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital."
