The Ministry of Health announced the destruction of more than 138 kg of drugs and psychotropic substances in the Forensic Medicine Department in Baghdad. The Ministry stated in a statement that the Ministry of Health destroyed today, Thursday, quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances under the supervision of the committee formed by Judge Suhaib Daham Al-Muadhidi, Vice President of the Baghdad Rusafa Court of Appeal, as Chairman of the Committee and all members of the Committee. The drugs included (138) kg, (367) mg, (650) mg of a group of different narcotic and psychotropic substances, and (150) thousand of the substance Sidavid. The Ministry explained that the destruction takes place in the forensic incinerator designated for this purpose at a temperature of 1100 degrees Celsius for complete burning, so that the heat melts and disintegrates them and strips them of their narcotic properties. The committee verified and confirmed that the destruction process was completed completely by technically exami ning the materials and it was found to be ineffective according to the report of the technical committee formed for this purpose.
