HEBRON-Ma’an- Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin discussed with Minister of Social Development Dr. Samah Hamad ways to enhance joint cooperation during her visit to the governorate headquarters today, Sunday, in the presence of the head of the Union of Charitable Societies Sheikh Hatem Al-Bakri, the head of the Union of Chambers of Commerce Abdo Idris, members of the chambers of commerce and the ministry staff.
Governor Dudin briefed Minister Hamad on the conditions of the governorate and its needs, especially in the targeted areas of the old city, closed areas and the traveler areas that are exposed to attacks by the occupation and its settlers, especially after October 7, which has had a negative impact on all sectors. He pointed to the conditions of the most needy groups, social cases and workers inside the Green Zone who need support and assistance through organized programs in partnership and cooperation with the relevant authorities, calling for the need to re-study the most needy cases to benefit from socia
l development programs.
In turn, Hamad thanked the governor for the warm reception during her first visit to the governorate, which comes within the framework of enhancing communication with the governorates and reviewing their economic development conditions, pointing to the most important programs provided by the ministry to the targeted groups, and the government’s efforts to provide relief to the Gaza Strip, which has been at the top of the government’s priorities since its first day, in cooperation with donor countries and the private sector.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hamad met with representatives of civil society in the governorate to inform them of the Ministry’s programs and plans, stressing the importance of cooperation with these institutions to improve the situation and enhance citizens’ steadfastness.
