HEBRON-Ma'an- Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin chaired an expanded meeting in his office on Wednesday afternoon to discuss preparations for the start of the new school year, especially in closed areas. The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Civil Liaison in Hebron, Musa Haroun, and Atef al-Jamal, Director General of the Hebron Education Department, and his accompanying staff. It also included Eng. Rashid Awad, Director General of the Local Government Directorate, Muhannad al-Ja'bari, Director General of the Hebron Reconstruction Committee, and representatives of the Military Liaison, the International Red Cross, the Security Committee, and the Old City Inspectors. The governor stressed that this meeting is extremely important and comes within the framework of providing all available capabilities to start the school year under any circumstances, no matter how difficult, especially in schools located in the old city, closed areas, and the traveler, and dealing with any emergency that occurs to ens ure the arrival of teachers and students to their schools, calling on all relevant parties to coordinate and cooperate to make the educational process in the Hebron Governorate a success. Al-Jamal gave a detailed explanation of the challenges and difficulties that may face the start of the school year with regard to the arrival of students and teachers to schools in light of the closures that the governorate and the city of Hebron are going through, especially after the events of October 7, which have doubled in recent days, appreciating the role of Governor Dudin in holding this meeting and defining the roles and responsibilities of each according to his specialization. During the meeting, the attendees talked about the readiness to support and back the efforts of the Ministry of Education to start the school year and form a joint committee whose mission is to deal with any obstacles to make the educational process a success despite all the difficult circumstances. In conclusion, the governor called on al l relevant parties to supervise the field next Monday, which is the start date of the new school year, and to ensure the arrival of students and teaching staff to schools.
