Manama, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee (REHC), attended the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown, Ireland. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman dedicated the victory of the horse 'Economics' of Al'Adiyat Racing stable to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the Kingdom's prominent standing in global horse racing sports, attributing this success to the unwavering support of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman noted the importance of implementing initiatives and development plans to further the Kingdom's horseracing sports in line with Bahrain's wide-ranging development goals. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman underscored the strong relations and multisectoral collaboration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Ireland, particularly within the equestrian sector. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the race, which has cemented the Kingdom's leading role in the equestrian field, while strengthening ties between the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club and Leopardstown Racecourse. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the importance of the Kingdom's participation and organisation of international horseracing competitions to enhance expertise within the sector. In this regard, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad noted that such competitions will facilitate the Bahrain International Trophy to achieve Group 1 status. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the intense competition witnessed during the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes, including the readiness of the participating stables and jockeys. The horse 'Economics' of Al'Adiyat Racing stabl e, owned by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman, won first place at the 2,000-meter race in the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown. Economics was ridden by jockey Tom Marquand and trained by W J Haggas. The Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes is part of a series of races in the championship held for the third consecutive year.
