Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), received the national teams for their recent accomplishments. The reception was attended by HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the GSA, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the BOC, Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the BOC, and several federation heads. HH Shaikh Khalid praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which has been instrumental in the success of Bahrain's sports sector, leading to numerous achievements on regional and international levels. He also commended the government's efforts, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the continued support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, for their role in advancing sports in Bahrain. HH Shaikh Khalid acknowledged the dedication of the national teams, whose hard work resulted in significant Gulf, Arab, and continental accomplishments. He also praised the contributions of the coaching and administrative teams, as well as the support from the national federations, urging all players to continue their efforts to bring further pride to Bahrain on the global stage. Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of BOC, expressed pride in the teams' achievements, attributing them to the unwavering support of HM the King. He also highlighted HH Shaikh Khalid's guidance and support of Bahrain's athletes, which has been key to their success. The recognised national teams included volleyball, men's and women's table tennis, chess, men's and women's shooting, triathlon, fencing, bodybuilding and fitness, taekwondo, and padel.
