The panel reviewed the achievements of the academic department regarding student development strategy, aiming to develop educational curricula that cope with the needs of the labour market, including the launch of the cybersecurity specialisation in the NVTC, in cooperation with a US-based institute.
The board members opened the new cybersecurity department, which marks the beginning of work to establish a Cybersecurity Academy, as one of the branches of the Science and Technology City.
The academy will attract Bahraini students from grade 10 to 12, on the one hand, and secondary school graduates wishing to obtain a diploma in information technology and cybersecurity, in addition to those who had been trained on various technological and strategic sciences, on the other.
It will also oversee future trends in adopting smart technologies that strengthen the cybersecurity system in the kingdom.
