Manama, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and chairman of the violence and addiction prevention committee, chaired the committee's periodical meeting. Shaikh Hisham lauded the recognition earned by the violence and addiction prevention programme, 'Maan' (together) programme at the Kuwait Creativity Award 2023 in the awareness category. He attributed this milestone to the unwavering support of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, and expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the committee's members. During the meeting, Shaikh Hisham emphasised the importance of fostering community engagement and partnership. The meeting discussed collaborative work and community partnership, underlining the importance of coordination with the Ministry of Social Development to implement the programme at the Child Protection Center. Additionally, coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and the General Directorate of Civil Defence was discussed to develop awareness curricula on public and personal safety for school students. Ali Ameeni, the programme's director, gave a briefing on Maan's activities during the academic year 2023-2024 and gave a review of the strategic plan of 2019-2023.
