Cairo, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt held official talks at Al Ittihadiya Palace. His Majesty the King expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and congratulated His Excellency President El Sisi on his reelection for a new presidential term, wishing him success in leading Egypt towards further prosperity and peace. His Majesty expressed pride in the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt, that are based on mutual respect and shared goals and destiny. His Excellency President El Sisi welcomed His Majesty King Hamad and the accompanying delegation, underscoring the significance of His Majesty's visit in enhancing bilateral relations. The two leaders commended the advanced status of cooperation between their nations, emphasising commitment to achieving further political, economic and security cooperation. They underscored the importance of continued consultation and coordination to ad dress regional challenges. In the context of the Arab Summit, to be held in Bahrain on May 16, His Majesty the King and President El Sisi expressed their hopes for a successful summit that bolsters Arab solidarity, peace, and stability in the region. The role of His Excellency President El Sisi in driving development efforts in Egypt nd maintaining its security and stability was lauded by His Majesty the King. His Majesty emphasised the distinguished regional position of Egypt and its strategic role in maintaining security and stability in the Arabian Gulf, in addition to its constructive initiatives in leading peace efforts in the Middle East. On his part, His Excellency President El Sisi hailed the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, for the security and development of Egypt. The President expressed his confidence in the success of Bahrain in presiding over the upcoming Arab Summit. The two leaders emphasised the importance of unity and joint visions in addre ssing regional and international issues and to uphold Arab security and peace. They affirmed the need for finding diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes and conflicts and the utmost importance of remedying the tragic situation in Gaza. The two leaders called for ensuring the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and rejected any plans for further violence and displancement, underlining their commitment to supporting Arab peace and security and working together to achieve this goal in the region. His Majesty the King and His Excellency President El Sisi urged the Security Council to take decisive measures to address regional conflicts, which include implementing resolutions on a ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid. They stressed the need for a political track leading to fair and lasting peace in the region, on the basis of a two-state solution and accepting Palestine as a member with full membership rights in the United Nations. His Majesty and President El Sisi asserted the importance of c reating a conducive environment for security, stability, and prosperity for all in the region. They emphasised the necessity of cooperation to protect international maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, and supporting the rights of Egypt and Sudan in the waters of the Nile. The two parties reiterated their countries' commitment to consolidating bilateral cooperation, intensifying diplomatic efforts to work on finding peace solutions for conflicts, continuing efforts to counter terrorism and reject extremism, and bolstering the collaboration of Arab countries to achieve stability, development and prosperity for all in the region.
