Industries Qatar (a Qatari public shareholding company) reported a 6.88 percent increase in profits in the first nine months of this year, exceeding QR 3.52 billion, compared to QR 3.29 billion for the same period last year. The financial statements issued by the company, and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today, showed an increase in earnings per share to QR 0.58 Qatari riyals in the period ending on Sep. 30, compared to QR 0.54 to the same period last year. On the other hand, Al Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (Beema) announced a 16.98 percent increase in its net profits for the period ending on Sep. 30, reaching QR 61.91 million, compared to QR 52.92 million for the same period last year. The company's financial statements indicated an increase in earnings per share to QR 0.31 in the past nine months of this year, compared to QR 0.26 for the same period last year. Qatar Islamic Insurance Company achieved a 9.97 percent increase in its net profits in the past nine months of this year, rea ching QR 113.58 million riyals, compared to QR 103.28 million riyals for the same period last year. The company's data showed that earnings per share increased to QR 0.76 riyals in the period ending on Sep. 30, compared to QR 0.69 riyals for the same period last year. QLM Life and Medical Insurance company also achieved a growth in its net profits of 3.4 percent, reaching QR 54.87 million riyals, compared to QR 53.06 million riyals for the same period last year. The company's financial statements indicated that earnings per share amounted to QR 0.16 in the third quarter of this year, compared to QR 0.15 riyals for the same period last year.
