Moscow, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, participated in the launch of the twenty-seventh St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia, under the patronage of President Vladimir Putin. The forum, held on June 5-8, is organised by the Ros Congress Foundation, with the participation of high government officials, experts, and specialists from different countries of the world. The minister affirmed Bahraini-Russian relations and their development, which recently culminated with the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Russian Federation, at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, which carried many important agreements to enhance cooperation and support further investments in various domains. The SPIEF is a leading global platform for networking between business representatives and specialists, it discusses key economic issues facing emerging markets at the global level with the participation of 17,000 individuals from 130 countries. It provides multiple opportunities to exchange views to achieve major economic and political goals set by Russia and global markets and discusses key issues of socio-economic development, in addition to featuring many events, and important festivals and exhibitions.
