Manama, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information participated in the 26th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Information, which was held vistually.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Omani Minister of Information and Chairman of the current session.
Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the importance of strengthening joint Gulf media work to support the progress of GCC countries, achieve common goals, strengthen positions, address issues, and preserve their cultural identity amidst challenges.
The minister highlighted that joint GCC work would develop a unified vision and framework, contributing to increased coordination and integration in the region.
The meeting discussed the GCC’s Supreme Council's decision to adopt a strategic plan for joint media work between the GCC countries (2023-2030), the code of honour for web media, and a media plan for missions abroad.
It also approved radio and television programmes, adopted an emergency plan for crises and disasters, and the joint application of news agencies in member states.
