Manama, The Ministry of Information signed, a television broadcast agreement for football matches with Alamiya- an advertising and production company, under which the company will undertake the television broadcasting of His Majesty the King’s Cup and the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League during the current season (2023-2024).
Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information; Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Football Association (BFA) President; His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the BFA were present during the signing.
The agreement was signed by Abdulla Khalid Al Dossari, Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs at the Information Affairs Ministry, and Badr Saleh bin Siraa, Executive Vice President of Alamiya.
Dr. ?Al Noaimi said the sports sector in Bahrain is witnessing a significant boom, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and has made numerous regional and international sporting achievements.
The minister commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, in advancing the status of football in the kingdom.
The Ministry of Information is working on an integrated plan to highlight achievements of the sports sector, particularly football, in line with modern technological developments and competitiveness in sports television broadcasting, he said.
The President of the BFA, praised the Ministry of Information for providing high-quality television and radio coverage of Bahrain's sporting activities, particularly football, which connects the public with their favourite games and sports.
Shaikh Ali commended the expertise of Alamiya, highlighting its significant contribution to the television broadcasting of His Majesty the King's Cup and Nasser bin Hamad Premier League matches.
Shaikh Ali emphasized the BFA’s commitment to the continuous development of local tournaments in all aspects, including television broadcasting.
