The Institutional Excellence Forum for the Charitable Sector in the State of Qatar kicked off Tuesday under the slogan "From Success to Making a Difference", which is held by the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities in partnership with Averroes Business Advisory and Services. The three-day Forum aims at establishing awareness and enhancing the capabilities and readiness of charitable, humanitarian and development organizations with an approach of institutional excellence and innovation in the fields of charitable work in the State of Qatar. In the opening speech of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, the Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Authority Saud Al Athba, said that this Forum is an extension of the series of training forums within the Tamkeen 2024 Program, as a strategic approach to building institutional capacities for the charitable sector, anticipating the future and facing challenges by innovating solutions and participating in exchanging views on everyt hing that serves the path of charitable work, noting that the Authority, within its pioneering approach, works to support all concerned parties and partners in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030, the Authority's strategy and the strategy of the charitable sector. For his part, General Manager of Averroes Business Advisory and Services Ahmed Abounahia praised the efforts made to raise the institutional level of charitable work in the State of Qatar, reviewing Averroes efforts and services in this field. After the opening, the Forum's discussion seminar was held under the title: "Institutional Excellence in the Charitable Work Sector... Reality and Future", in which representatives of the charitable sector participated, discussing the most prominent achievements and aspirations in the field of institutional excellence (Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent Society as a model). In his speech, Assistant CEO for the Government and Institutional Development Sector at Qatar Charity Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, explaine d the importance of working to achieve excellence standards, especially in the charitable and humanitarian sector, noting that institutional excellence requires long-term and continuous work, with the importance of focusing on results and investing in the enablers of institutional excellence, especially human capital, in addition to the need to adopt international standards for institutional excellence. In his participation, Head of Strategic Planning at Qatar Red Crescent Essam Abdul Jalil said that their experience in institutional excellence was distinctive, narrating the excellence approach that Qatar Red Crescent follows, especially in the capabilities of developing strategies, organizational frameworks and work systems, governance and decision-making, institutional performance, research and studies and educational outcomes, risk and emergency management, and others. During the workshop accompanying the first day, the participants discussed the topic of institutional excellence in its national, regiona l and international context and future trends. The Institutional Excellence Forum for the Charitable Sector in the State of Qatar comes within the Tamkeen 2024 Program to empower non-profit organizations in the State of Qatar with institutional excellence enhancers. The Forum, in its current version, addresses a set of topics, the most important of which are: areas of institutional and strategic excellence in light of the strategy of the charitable work sector in Qatar, explaining and defining the principles of institutional excellence, in addition to knowing the global indicators of charitable work and how to benefit from them in achieving institutional and global excellence, and building a culture of institutional excellence, in addition to workshops to develop the institutional excellence plan and integrate it into the work paths of the sector and other accompanying sessions and seminars.
