The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 45 Palestinian civilians today morning, within an operation that started yesterday in the West Bank, including children and freed captives, in addition to hostages. In a joint statement, Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that most of the arrests took place in the governorates of Ramallah and Bethlehem, while the rest occurred across the West Bank's governorates of Salfit, Al-Khalil, Nablus, Qalqilya and Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds). Recently, the Israeli occupation has intensified their wide-scale raids and assaults against Palestinians, which are usually accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes. The IOF has arrested more than 11,000 Palestinian civilians across the governorates of the West Bank (including Al-Quds), since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's ongoing genoci de and ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip. The IOF continues to implement systematic arrests, as one of its most prominent established policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after October 2023, not only in terms of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
