Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, met today, Tuesday, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, and his accompanying delegation.
The Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement, “During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and cooperation was developed in a number of fields, including security, economy, and transportation, in addition to cooperation at the parliamentary level, activating friendship committees, and exchanging experiences.
Al-Halbousi stressed, “During the meeting, the House of Representatives was keen to support the government to continue expanding its relations with friends and achieving economic partnerships in various sectors and strategic projects.”
For his part, the guest Minister conveyed “the greetings of the Speaker of the Austrian National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka, to Muhammad al-Halbousi, and his desire for parliamentary cooperation. The Austrian Foreign Minister also expressed his country’s readiness to strengthen its relations with Iraq and develop cooperation in all fields.”/End
