The Head of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bakr Ahmed Al-Jaff, met at the Ministry's headquarters with the Greek Ambassador to Iraq, Georgios Manos. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement, "The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them." The Greek Ambassador referred to his Embassy's efforts to reactivate direct air transport between Iraq and Greece, in addition to investment opportunities in Iraq and the work of Greek companies in the fields of reconstruction and infrastructure, especially since one of the Greek companies had a contribution to establishing an electricity generation station. For his part, Ambassador Bakr Ahmed Al-Jaff expressed his happiness with the visit of the Greek Ambassador, appreciating the joint role of our Embassy in Athens and the Greek Embassy in Baghdad and their endeavor to develop relations between the two countries at various levels, and expressed his readiness to provide the necessary facilities to overcome the obstacles facing the work of the Greek Embassy in Baghdad.
