Baghdad, The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in New Delhi, Nizar Marjan, met with the Undersecretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Asim Raja Mahajan. The Undersecretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs expressed his wishes for the Chargé d'Affaires to succeed in his new duties, expressing his ministry's readiness to provide support to him in the next stage to ensure the success of his mission. He also stressed that his ministry seeks to prepare a grand celebration on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations between Iraq and India, which will be held in 2027. For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, and the exchange of visits between officials of the two countries to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, in addition to discussing issues of common interest.
