Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission Ali Al-Moayyad and Minister of Information in the Lebanese government Ziad Al-Makari stressed the need to create an Arab media initiative through the Arab League to support solidarity in confronting media misinformation campaigns, and to shed light on crimes targeting civilians and safe homes that have caused the killing and displacement of thousands in clear violation of all international and humanitarian laws. Al-Moayyad stressed, during a phone call with the Lebanese Minister of Information, that the Iraqi media stands by the Lebanese people, within the framework of the directives of the supreme religious authority and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani. The two sides reviewed the role of the Iraqi media in the relief campaigns called for by the religious authority, and a cooperation initiative between Iraqi and Lebanese channels was also discussed to pressure to stop the war and attacks on civilians and residential neighborhoods in Beirut and othe r Lebanese cities.
